My father was a true family man. As a young child, weekend routines soon incorporated my dad getting up early on Saturday and making us pancakes (the leftovers being stored to put in the toaster on Sunday morning) before taking us to our Saturday-morning activity. As the years passed, this pancake-making Saturday-morning routine was replaced by dad-and-daughter time over apple fritters before I spent much of the day volunteering at a stable. Even as I grew into adulthood, he helped me to find the home that I now live in, and spent hours with me when a pipe burst and my home flooded. He taught me what it means to be a good person, and helped to mold me into the person I am today. I love and miss you loads, Dad, but I know you will continue to help us every day from heaven.
