Louis Joseph  Achille
Louis Joseph Achille, 88, of Fredericksburg passed away at Golden Living Center Sunday, October 30, 2016. Louis was born on February 1, 1928 to Colombo and Maria (DiMasi) Achille in Erie, PA. After high school, Louis joined the US Navy. He continued his education as a drafting engineer at Gannon University in Erie. Louis married Eleanor C. Cook on April 30, 1949 in Erie. He worked for over twenty years with General Electric before becoming a contractor, traveling the US with Eleanor finally settling in the Fredericksburg area in the 1990’s. They were members of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Eleanor; son, Louis Ronald (Kathleen); three daughters; Mary C. Achille, Eleanor L. Wallace (Russell), Susan C. Hodges (Donald); brother, Julio Achille (Joanne); six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, sister Stella Rys and brother Albert.
Memorial Mass will be at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Spotsylvania at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 with Father Paul Eversole officiating.
