It is with great sadness that the family of Jason Scott Erie announces his passing after a courageous fight with cancer. He passed Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 42. Jason will forever be in the hearts of his wife of 15 years, Krisy and his adored and beautiful daughters Kaylie (9) and Violet (3); his parents William (Bill) and Joan; his sister Heather (Brad) Nyholm; father-in-law Thomas Latta; mother-in-law Linda (Allen) Baxter. Jason will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Jason was born at Travis Air Force Base in California May 6, 1975. He moved to New York, Atlanta and then Virginia at age 6. He was a soccer and tennis player and graduated from Potomac High School in 1993. He studied at Virginia Tech before deciding on a career in restaurant management. His last position was General Manager at Logan’s in Fredericksburg. Jason is remembered for showing respect for his customers and his staff. He is a forever Atlanta Falcons fan. He was a math whiz which played into his love of Fantasy Football and poker. He’s also been a cat lover since he was 4, and affectionately known as the “Cat Whisperer” by his family. His greatest love was “His Girls” – Krisy, Kaylie and Violet.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, with family receiving friends at 11 a.m. and services beginning at 12 noon with Pastor Kelly Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. On line condolences may be made at laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
